Your Responsibilities
As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will design, develop and operateour CI/CD pipeline. You will manage systems and software across different environments, supporting areas of software architecture, development, security and testing. Your role will emphasize monitoring, optimization, scalability and troubleshooting in collaboration with our system and network operations teams. You will also oversee the support and maintenance of our private cloud infrastructure and create comprehensive documentation as part of your tasks.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Lead the development and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines
- Ensure high availability, scalability and security of infrastructure
- Collaborate closely with development, QA and operations teams
- Implement automation and configuration management tools
- Perform continuous performance tuning and capacity planning
- Troubleshoot complex issues and provide detailed postmortem analysis
- Drive continuous improvement and adoption of DevOps best practices
- Document systems, processes, and operational procedures
Your Profile
You hold a degree in computer science, electrical engineering or a comparable qualification. With several years of experience in DevOps engineering or a related field, you exhibit a deep passion and enthusiasm for advanced methods, technologies and tools in software development, Linux and cloud computing.
You are a team player with strong communication skills, being able to send and receive constructive feedback. Organizing the daily business in an agile manner is key, while mentoring junior team members and leading by example. Your technical and methodological expertise is complemented by a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Required Experience/Skills
- Proven experience in managing CI/CD pipelines using tools such as TeamCity, Jenkins or GitLab CI
- Strong knowledge of containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
- Experience in GitOps approaches using tools such as Flux or ArgoCD
- Expertise in configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible and AWX)
- Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform, AWS CloudFormation)
- Advanced scripting skills (e.g., Bash, Python, PowerShell)
- Extensive experience with monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, ELK stack)
- Solid understanding of networking concepts and protocols
- Experience in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS or Azure)
- Familiarity with service-oriented architecture (SOA) and microservices
- Background in agile methodologies and DevOps principles
Additional Experience/Skills
- Knowhow in security related topics (e.g., vulnerability scanning, SBOM attestation, hardening best practices)
- Experience with virtualization solutions (e.g., VMware)
- Understanding of site reliability engineering (SRE) practices
- Knowledge of cloud-native technologies and practices
Language Skills:
- Very good written and spoken German and English skills are essential for operating effectively in a multinational environment.
